Get a Skatepark Built In Your Town
Want to see your town finally build a skatepark? We've constructed this resource of helpful knowledge, and tips to get you rolling. First off, have a look around your community: is there a visible skateboard community within your town? if so, where do they spend their time? Second, build your team. A diverse group of skaters, towns people, business people, stay at home moms (and dads), and all the animals from the magic forest. Next, you'll want to fundraise, and began getting in front of the town to make your intentions known. Push onward, casting vision and letting people in on the journey with you. With a solid community team and presence, follow a strategic fundraising plan in moving forward. Design and build the park, with the best intentions of functionality and use in mind. Although modern art might be nice, it isn't always that functional or skate able, so make sure you advocate for a great flatbar, banks, and a good ledge. Never, ever settle for a temporary park.
